I am trying indoor bonsai and I am trying to find out what soil works best.

For my outside trees, I use Boone mix (pumace, lava & akadama ) with a small amount of grit & bark added....I have very good luck with it outdoors.

I am going to be re-potting a Brush Cherry (Eugenia Myrtifolia), Ficus Benjimina, and Schefflera plants (the Schefflera is a well established Bonsia already).

I have read that it is ok to repot Indoor tree anytime due to the lack of seasonal dormancy, but have not been able to find information on soil component recommendations.

Anyone with indoor experience, please share.

As long as it is a free draining mix there is no particular blend for indoor trees. Availability of natural light is important, as is humidity in a heated indoor environment

my indoor trees are in the same soil as outdoor trees ,the only difference is watering. there is no hot sun to dry soil in a day so at least in my experience watering indoors is decreased. I do mist my indoor trees daily tho
