I am wondering if I could use pots with no drainage holes?
I have several Bonsai Tree's that I do not know the name of
I am also confused on what kind of soil to use.
I also want to learn how to take care of the ones that I have now.
You don't know why bonsai pots have drainage holes, you don't know what trees you have, you don't know about soil, and you don't know how to take care of the trees you have... that's not a good basis to start with Bonsai.
First decide what type of tree you want to acquire, evergreen or decidious. Trees should be outside, I do not recommend choosing an "indoor tree", they are harder to care for.
I'd recommend a tree
native to your area
- there are quite a few that are suitable, like carpinus, juniper, bald cypress, mulberry.
Once you have made your choice, start learning about the requirements of your tree.
Then start learning
bonsai-basics
.
Understand that creating a bonsai tree requires years of training and growth, and lots of patience.
