Can anyone identify what is going on with my soil? I recently re-potted a new dwarf pomegranate and a brush cherry with some new soil I got and I've noticed these little crystals appearing. I'm wondering if my tap water is too hard or something. Thanks for any help.

Well it looks more like salt to me (clear). Could it just be sand in the soil? I didn't notice it before but it would make sense that watering just cleaned off the granules.

That is a joke of a dwarf pomegranate that I got for a couple of bucks as a challenge to turn into something other than a stick.

Take one. Put it between your teeth. Bite down. Then you'll know for sure.
(And no, I am actually not joking here!)
