Hello all,
I'm a total beginner. I have used some pre-mixed organic bonsai soil (Amgrow is the brand) and forgot to sieve it, thus my first 4 plants died (I found some white mould/fungi and a layer of fine particle that sticks to the bottom of my pot when cleaning it).
Now, I'm trying to make soil (first time) for my winter sweet (treated as a deciduous type which prefers more moisture in the soil). I have Zeolite, Pumice, Perlite and another type of 'bonsai potting mix with zeolite' produced by one of the bonsai nurseries (Bonsai Environment: bonsainet.com.au/ ) in Sydney Australia. Anyone has any idea how to make the soil? And when should I re-pot my new plant? I know it's summer now and I will wait until the heat wave is passed.
Thanks!!
Vinh
