Ivw found these great little pots in Poundland here in England. Yes, they are £1
I drilled a drainage hole in the bottom and have just put a holly that I'm training in it.
Thoughts?

I used to use the mini casserole dishes from the pound shop and drill holes in them haha haha they looked ok but the problem was that they were glazed inside as well.

To paraphrase; "Anything's a [pot] if you're brave enough"
As long as it works, and you like it, it's fine.

It's nice to see you're using a local species. Can't say I've seen it used before, though.

Thanks.
I found 4 stunted trees near the mother tree.
Quite thick trunks and small leaves.
It seems to be happy out on my patio.
