I've been there a few times... I can reccomend a visit! if you need help with the German, let me know.... I worked for a software company as a translator.. way beck when... :-D

Thanks, Tuba for your generous support.. : D

I swear, I try to learn German between my job and hobbies. Could be enough good if I can ask them where is the underground train...

A guy in my bonsai club works there now and then. It is reasonably close to my place. Let me know if you decide to go. German/English/Dutch is no problem either.

Eh.. I’ve started to learn when I’ve found out many interesting papers are not translated to English.
The German wife sounds like a cheat code near my Babbel app.. : D
Not to take sides, but Portuguese is the second most spoken language on the world if I know right.. ; )

hehe, I am in Brazil ~ 2 times a year. I know enough Portuguese to discuss soccer with a cab driver.
I just do not have enough P to discuss bonsai with Clicio

Aha, don't mix it with Spanish! They are sister languages but...Not exactly the same.
Spanish is 4th and Portuguese is 9th.

Well, a YouTube video lied to me.. ^^ Stated Spanish first, Portuguese second by territory/person (not by native speakers or countries).

*Mandarine doesn’t count if you cannot understand dozens of dialects while speaking at least 3 others! They’re cheating on the stats!

Officially, everyone in PRC speaks Mandarin, properly putonghua. That is because school, etc., has been in that language since the 50s. Practically speaking there are modern variations, but not much different from English, is it varies from the deep South in the US to Scotland. Dialects are starting to come back but not for official use.

I found German pretty easy, Chinese almost as easy, Russian pretty difficult, and Japanese fairly hard. Others rank them in opposite order. It depends on something, but I don't know what. I
