I received this water-soluable fertilizer from a friend but was unsure how appropriate it’d be for bonsai use. I’ve been told that a high nitrogen content is good for the spring when trees are putting out a lot of vegetative growth. Would these numbers be ok? I have 5 junipers and 2 elms, all of which are in a completely inorganic akadama based substrate.

If you have very young trees and want them to grow, ok, but if they are older then no way. The nitrogen content is very high.

I am avoiding the use of high content nitrogen unless I want vigorous growth in Spring. Most of the time i use 10-10-10 and in the autumn 2-5-5

Currently I´m using a solid inorganic fertilizer with a 12-10-18 ratio, which seems to be fairly balanced. Almost all of my trees are still in need of a strong vegetative growth and I also have a couple that I´d like to see flowering.
