Should I water dwarf umbrella tree if moss is still wet? was created by Sonny

My dwarf umbrella tree has moss on the soil. Moss is still wet after 2 days of no water. It's located indoors, soil mix akadama, pumice & lava rock. Don't know if soil underneath is dry. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you should move the moss and look at the soil. It is that easy.

If you’re gonna keep it inside, I’d suggest rotating it inside and out or leave near an open window. Air flow through the leaves is super important for plant health. Good luck with it

Have an open window yes, but moving inside and out is never a good idea. The plant needs to be used to the light levels and moving into strong light and then back to low light will do it no good. This species is not hardy so needs frost protection.

Open window is on point, take it you’re in the northern hemisphere? Yea ice and umbrellas aren’t friends. Maybe check the drainage holes for moisture if you don’t wanna disturb the moss. Good luck with it
