Hello Everyone, I wanted to ask if I can get your recommendation on a Fertilizer for my Juniper Bonsai tree. It's a small Bonsai. If you know any you could find on Amazon or maybe a hardware store (Home Depot, Lowes) that would be great! I heard of B.O (BioGold) as a good fertilizer but it's hard to find here in the U.S or even online. Thanks!

I use Bonsai-Pro liquid fertilizer on all my trees, I am also fairly new to bonsai, being in the hobby for a little over a year and a half. Also open to suggestions for other types. I have a ficus ginseng, chinese elm, trident maple, japanese maple, and junipers... 2 kinds of juniper. If I can figure out how to upload photos to my laptop that is running linux, I will post some.

I use osmocote pro on all my trees. And I add liquid fertilizer to my water a few times per season, just taking what I have at hand. Price beeing an important factor so I can use my money on new trees instead.

I use Castor Cake that I make myself... It's extremelly rich in Nitrogen, and it's slow releasing, since it's organic. So the risk of burning the roots by using too much is really low... But castor plants grows as weed where I live, free fertilizer (if you don't count the work I had... xD).
However, castor cake is really cheap to buy here, like less than U$ 3,00 per kg. and 1kg is will last a lot.

Oh, yes! I use neem cake in my soil mix when repotting as well. Similar properties as castor cake. Just a little more nitrogen and a little less phosphor/potasium. But also sold as a natural insect repellant. Neem opposed to castor cake is readily awailable outside of India.
