Most of the species guides on Bonsai Empire mention using a weekly liquid fertilser, can anyone recommend one they are happy with please?

I never use mineral liquid fertilizer on bonsai trees. If I use liquid fertilizer, I go for organic ones. Seaweed tea, fish emulsion from the store or hommade nettle tea and cow dung tea. And yea, I occationally use the golden water as well, but details should not be mentioned in a forum without consequenses .

As a background fertilizer I use mineral control release solid fertilizer and I water with my koi pond water containing small amounts of mineralized fertilizer from an organic source.

If you want to know specific products you may need to tell us where you live. This is an international forum and products awailable at my place may not be awailable at yours.

I cannot find any similar review of fish emulsion. But a search for "fish emulsion UK" gives a lot of options.

At the moment, I’m just using a general fertilizer from a gardencentre. I have just started, do not have any proper Bonsai’s because I want to learn how to take care of them first. So I have young trees, see what happens when I do something and learn.
If you’ve got a proper tree, you might want to ask what you need at a local Bonsai Club.
