Hello Everyone!

Looking to buy a new watering can and wanted the opinion of those more experienced than myself.

What is the best watering can for bonsai? What makes your choice the best?

What are you watering? Would be a bit silly to buy an original japanese watering can if you have a mallsai from Walmart.

A garden hose with a fine nozzle and a long wand.

BTW there is a topic about requirements and design of a watering can somewhere on this forum. Couldn't find it, sorry.

You make a great point. Let me specify my trees: procumbens juniper, blue pacific juniper, blue rug juniper, and a schefflera. I have a short leaf pine and a Japanese maple as pre-bonsai. Also, I have some pear tree cuttings.

A fine nozzle and a long wand are a must, I agree. But what brand? From Amazon? Walmart?

I also searched for this topic before I posted and could not find sufficient information.

Thanks for responding!

Sure, just check reviews to make sure that they're worth buying

What do you use for watering? If you don't mind me asking.

I use my hose with a sprayer attachment.
Something like this:

It works fine but I'm thinking of getting a watering lance soon.

There lies the root of my problem, I live in an apartment and I don't have access to a hose. (never fear, my trees are outside) A watering can is really my only option.

I'd get one with as fine a nozzle screen as you can. A removable nozzle would be preferable because debris, dirt, bugs inevitably get stuck in there. If you need a mister, they make small gallon size pressure bottles that sell cheap ($15).
