Hi Everyone!
Today I scored that Deshojo, and the same time I did an inscription for the local Bonsai club. Such a good day.

What your trained eyes see? It was a good found?

Looks healthy upstairs.
The black lower trunk, down to the soil, is it wet in the pictures? Or is it really black?

Thank you, Clicio!
I think it’s just wet, or maybe some algae. The past few days we’ve got really rainy, humid weather. I placed in half shade outside, covered from rain.
Here a closer img from that black thingy. It’s hard, like the bark around, not looks decaying.

If it’s a problem, just tell me. I’ve got it from an official bonsai nursery so if something off, I’m sure I can arrange with them.

Well, can't tell, but a good practice is to scrub off algae, linch and moss growing on the trunk.(gently, with a soft toothbrush). But as I said, it looks nice!

i recommend you really keep an eye out on that black spot. if it gets larger it can be a fungus. maples are prone to Pseudomonas syringae, i had 2 maples die from this. started with one small black spot and within a week it grew and started spreading on the trunk. i would read into it and they do sell fungicide for it. maples are also prone to other diseases and are some what delicate so do your research. other than that tree looks healthy, good score!

My first thought also, but I don't want to be the alarmist if I am not sure.

Oh, good g... Thanks for the info Crent, and sorry for your loss. Sad, but I know very well Pseudomonas, cause since 20 years I’m working with reptiles. It’s a G- bacteria which can cause nasty things.
If it’ll be confirmed from the nursery, can I treat with enrofloxacil or marbofloxacil? About trees, I’m not sure the dilution...
