I saw these trees at a recent bonsai show in city gardens held over arbor day, I realized had seen one of the trees from the lennard bonsai website. Its the first pic here, done by Louis Nel who passed away a few years a go.
Oh yeah, they both false olives, I couldn't believe how much the leaves were reduced! Those leaves were about 1-0.5 cm long!! Were as my false olive is about 6-7cm long at the moment.

Yes, that is beautiful. Thanks for those pic's. It looks like a lot of years of dedicated work went into those trees.
I do not have any false olives, but I do have three Oleo europaea subsp. Africana’s in large tubs. I hope to have decent trunks to work with in about 10 years. They thicken very slowly.

Hi!
I am new to the forum and to bonsai.I am from your part of the world-Zambia.
I bought today two trees from a nursery both imported from SA.
They did not know their names.
If I post them here on another thread on the forum, could you try to identify them and help with advise.
One of them they called bonsai acacia...the other one nothing.

Hi Neli,
Welcome!
I am sure we will all give it our best go.
I am looking forward to your pictures.
Lusaka is true Acacia territory, unlike where I am.
My Grandfather always said that you could plant a broomstick in Zambia, and it will grow...

I joined yesterday The SA forum and I am a happy girl now.
Here I just stick sticks in the ground and they grow!
The rain derailed my efforts today. All gardeners were in the shade.
