I have a Yoshima cherry in the yard that I would like to take cuttings from.
Googling cuttings and Yoshida cherry I found pretty consistent directions except that different sites say autumn, spring, summer or winter.
Has anyone had success with cuttings? What time of year worked?

I would suggest after flowering when there is new growth for softwood cuttings. Or late summer for hardwood cuttings.

Try +/- 10 cuttings in spring, 10 in summer,10 in autumn and 10 in winter and share your experience.
Would be nice to see the difference in development.

With my luck I would either have none work or I would have 40 new trees.Try +/- 10 cuttings in spring, 10 in summer,10 in autumn and 10 in winter and share your experience.

I may try three or four at a time. I tried air layering twice and was not successful. Birds picked through the tin foil and it dried out both times, even with metal screen wrapped around. I can probably find 12 branches suitable for cuttings.
