I really don't know. I think you should approach that differently:
If you have a tree, or want to acquire a tree for air layering, look it up and check the care guidelines.

in general, any species that can handle a lot of root pruning does well on layering.

Maples, willows, cherries, taxus, creatagus, carpinus etc.

I can readily source Maples, A Taxus (Yew) I have in the front garden, and I think UK garden centers have Cretagus (Hawthorn) and I think Carpinus (Hornbeam). If I look hard enough I can find it. Don't know about Cherries.
