Hi all :)
I haven't had a Bonsai in years, and when I did have I was very young.
Now I'm wanting to start my own. I have a Castano that I bought a couple of years ago. It's a standard house plant at the moment, with three shoots from separate seeds. I was wondering if it would be possible to make the smallest into a Bonsai, it currently stands approximately 30cm tall, and is quite small compared to the other two.
How would I go about making it into a Bonsai, or is it now too big?
Thanks in advance :)

I would guess this plant is not very well-suited for bonsai; The leaves are way too large; It being a tropical, chances are they do not reduce too well.

By the way: Bonsai are not made from small young plants. They are made from plants that have reached a certain size, in more casdes than not.

Hi I agree with leatherback the leaves are way to big. And adding onto leatherback's point, most bonsai are better looking old.

But hope you have fun cultivating the plant anyway.

Good luck!
