opinion on possible purchase?

The trick is to search for pre bonsai; promising bases sold by people who actually know what they're talking about.
Try to stay away from Greenwood Bonsai Studios, if that's where you saw this, and other such companies, e.g. Bonsai Boy of New York (Extremely overpriced "fecal matter")
