Bonsai - Japanese Holly needs your help!!!!

I have purchased a 12yo Japanese Holly 2 years ago and the tree was always beautifully green, i even managed to keep the moss covering the soil green. I have always been giving it a water bath once a week. And now it has lost most of the leaves on one of the branches and there is a distinctive smell right after watering. This started happening only recently. Leaves turned brown and dry and are falling off. But those that are still on are rather light green in color but previously the leaves had a healthy dark green color. The only reason i can think of why this is happening is because i have moved the tree to the bathroom in march. I suspect that the humid bathroom caused demage to the roots.... but im not a specialist. Thats why im here now..please help me save the tree! What can i do to rescue it? To start with i have moved it from the bathroom to its original place and put it in different container so the soil can air out as the smell was worrying. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Clicio, not a joke unfortunately. Could you kindly share your knowledge and advise what I shall do now? What are the next steps?

First it should be outside.. Then you need to start watering properly. Stop dunking and water when it needs water not to a schedule

Meg.. Pls don’t. I understand that you didn’t like Auk’s answer on your thread, but you don’t see the problem with the question. I believe you could be a good writer in a subject what you know already, but how on earth you want to go with a subject what you didn’t touched before? How can you know which information is true/false or how can you know if the written method covers the globe, or specific for different zones? I can continue, but I believe also, you’re enough intelligent to understand from this. The book is really good idea, but first get in to Bonsai and stay 20-30 years to understand a good part of it. I know you can make something just to clipping together different information from different sources, but if you want a good one, what the whole “hobby” can appreciate, you need to learn and understand your subject.
