Horse chestnut from seed was created by `middle29

Hi, I've discovered a horse chestnut that has germinated inside small plant pot where my daughter planted it. I'd like to try & grow it. It's currently about 20 / 25cm tall with 2 or 3 leaves sprouting out the top. Just wondering what my next steps are to stop it getting too tall. Or I read that I could let it grow & get thick & then cut it back quite severely at the trunk and it will re-sprout leaves / branches. I'm a bit of a beginner... :)

Get it outdoors, in the garden, in full soil. Let it grow for a couple of years. Once big enough, you can reduce it, let it grow again, reduce again.
You'll need a big size bonsai, so, in about 15 years you may have something to work with.
