White stuff on my ficus ginseng was created by Pdiaz1887

So I noticed some white stuff on the base of the trunk of my plant. I dont know what it is and I’m worried. I do water with hard water i dont know if that will help. What do I need to do to fix it

Also I noticed some very very small tan looking bugs that might be mites of some sort should I be worried?
