jacaranda bonzai

I have this beautiful Jacaranda bonzai for 5 years now but never saw flowers.
I live in California and there are plenty of these trees around full of flowers.
Does anybody knows if something is missing for me to get it to flower.
I water my plants with pond water so they should get plenty of nutrients.

That species doesn't flower easily when in pots, it just takes a long time for them to mature...

I've only seen this ones with flower, on the 15:50 time stamp... But they're MUCH older...
