Help on Duranta (Duranta excelsa)

Am new to Bonsai and I have started by planting Duranta (Duranta excelsa) in a pot. I planted a cutting and 2 weeks ago I repotted in a bigger pot and prunned down all the leaves leaving just the new shoots. It seems to be doing well since it did not die or dry up. I just need some ideas and assistance on how to take care, train and shape it. I did this out of pure interest and I have no prior experience in Bonsai. Any feedback is highly appreciated.

What I do is wait for about a year, when it has a good root and branch structure. But wiring will become important when branches are not to thin nor to thick
