Unknown white fungus on fertilizer? was created by shimpakunut

Found white fungus (?) looking growth on the solid fertilizer of my shimpaku. Could someone please ID it and is it harmful?

Yup, something fungal. It means the fertilizer is starting to fall apart, which is what you need for the nutrients to get to the roots. All good and as expected
