Soil insect - HELP IDENTIFY

Doesn’t appear to be too many. But perhaps I stare at my tree just enough to have spotted them early. ....maybe. Need to know what “them” is first!!! They appear to be only interested in the soil(roots?) They do not climb the tree.

Googled springtail. I suppose it could be. Slightly reddish in color. Almost barely visible.

Uploading photos doesn't automatically insert them into the message... why not? I don't know. But there is another step to actually get them into the message.
You know, just in case you uploaded the photos by accident, or something.

In most if not all the forums this is a two steps procedure.
- First upload.
- Then insert the image where you want it (top of the text, middle of the text, bottom of the text, after another picture, before another picture, and so on).
Some fora allow you to choose either a thumbnail or the full size image, a decision that can be made after the picture was uploaded.
