Port Jackson fig - black spots on leaves was created by glens

Hi,

I have a Port Jackson fig, six years old. I live in Sydney, Australia and have this in morning sun, afternoon shade on a balcony. It has developed black spots on older leaves, the newer leaves seem unaffected. A few of the interior leaves have yellowed and dropped. I have a tendency to overwater and I have been trying very hard not to. Could this be fungal? Any management suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Glen

By the looks of it, it seems it is planted in proper (inorganic) substrate, right? That means you dont need to worry much about overwatering I suppose.
I think you could prune the long extensions to support/strenghten the interior branches and leaves.
Perhaps anyone else here can share his/her opinion as well :)

I bought the plant but I think it is a well draining inorganic mix. Thank you very much. I will give the pruning a try.
