De-weeding the garden #1

I got told to remove some stubs from the garden, so I figured I would try to work them.



Eh, it's free material.
In this 'episode' of this series, I'll be focusing on the woody one.



The trunk looks interesting (but barely visible).

I didn't get any photos of removing the plants, I always worry about how much time the roots have out of the soil.

In the end, I got these two out of it:





Any help ID-ing would be great.

Now I just wait 3-5 years.

I think I prefer the smaller one, the other looks cool but I don't see much potential in it.

Any other angles will have to wait until tomorrow (GMT+1) because we're losing light.
