Winter will be over next month, and I am planning on repotting my JBP.
It is not wired, it is healthy and enjoying the winter here, but needs a new soil.
Needs a trimming also, but I am afraid to prune it and repot it at the same time, they are very picky about the right time to be worked on.
Should I wait for the summer to decandle, trim and prune it , or can I do it by the beginning of the spring all at once?

Repotting is done before the buds swell, so no, that's not even possible.

Posted 8 years 2 months ago #34982Thanks, Auk, but let me be more clear on this matter; I got it from a friend that took no care of it at all. So even if it is dormant right now, there is growth all over, including long apical candles with few needles.Auk wrote: Repotting is done before the buds swell, so no, that's not even possible.
Repotting is needed, but so is pruning and pinching.
Taking your advice, it can wait for the summer.
