Hi everyone,
Just wanna check, I just purchased a fukien tea tree online and I'm just about to repot the tree. However, I'm not sure if the ceramic pot I have, which is a small size(16x12x4cm) WxLxH, be suitable for this plant. The height of the pot is about 4cm. I need your advise if the pot is too shallow for this tree. The trunk seems sturdy and height of the tree is about 25cm tall. I'm just worried that the roots of the tree is simply is spread out and large once I removed the pot from the old container. Can you guys give advise? Thanks.

The pot is certainly not too small.

I would however recommend you make sure you know how to keep this tree alive, before you start repotting (Unless there is a very good health reason to repot now). Otherwise, if you repot now and the plant does not survive you will forever be wondering whether it was the repotting.

If you are not in the tropics: repotting is best in spring, as it warms up again.
