I will repot my Fagus Grenata in a shallower pot.
My question can i heavely prune the roots ????
How many % can i take of the tree??
It is a very healty tree

percentages do not tell you that much. You will have to learn by watching and doing. You need to leave enough roots for the plant to re-establish. How much that is, depends on the species, the state of the tree and your experience.

The thing is i am not familiar with this species its my first Fagus Grenata in my collection.
I am a Acer and juniper guy with a lot of experience with this trees.
I was just wondering if you can prune the roots heavely on a Fagus like on the Acers.
Will take him out of the pot today and have a look at the root system .
