ok. after a couple hours of grinding/polishing here is the results.
also a picture of the mold I used . Iam not to sure about the finshed look of the last one , I like the first one better, it has more of a real rock look, to me anyways. still its a fun project that is quite easy with the grinder but you can sand them by hand

I should mention there is a simple rectanguler box that is not in the mold picture, that is used to support the walls of the pot. I first put a layer of concrete across the base of the mold getting it nice and flat then lay the box on top of that then fill the cavity for the side walls.
I use a electric palm sander as a vibrater to get the concrete to settle into the mold. let it dry for a couple days then dismantle the mold.
I tried using a sealer on one also but to shinny. still experamenting

the large one I would guess aprox. 20 lbs. very heavy. one good thing is they wont be blown over by the wind. thats where adding differant materials into the mixture such as paper or I have read peat can be used. that is if you are concerned about the weight. Iam not worried about that myself

Those pots look great. You should develop an inner lining to make them bonsai safe and then market them to the public. They would sell like hotcakes. ;)
