OK, Thank you. I will wait to water it for a while and water it on shower for about 20 seconds once it feels dry. Anything else I could do? I have food, but the packet said to use every seven months and the food looked very fresh when I got the tree. Thanks a lot.

Shower? If you are talking about a nozzle setting that's fine. Just don't let it spray off any soil. As far as anything else you can do, no just wait and hope/pray. I would not use any fertilizer on it right now. The roots are stressed and the plant is stressed. Just let it recover.

To check if it is alive scratch the bark with your fingernail. If it is green under the layer of bark it is still alive. If it is dead it will just be yellow/light brown under the bark.

This will only tell you if it is dead. If you see green, you still will not know if it will live.

On Junipers, it will not be useful at all as the green layer will hardly be visible. Also, you may have looked at a dead area, while the tree still has live veins.
Better check the foliage. If all foliage on a branch is yellow and brittle, the whole branch is dead.

Ok. I looked at it today. The soil feels dry. Should I water it? On mist for 30 seconds maybe?
