Some of my Bonsai was created by GingerBonsai

Hi all... Here are a few of my trees.
I'm not sure what the one in the circular pot is? I'm thinking ligustrum or Chinese sweet plum?
Any help much appreciated.

It looks very similar to the ligustrum (privet) that I have, at least the leaves. The pics of sweet plum leaves that I've seen, it looks like the veins are visible in the upper surface of the leaves... which is not the case in your picture.. or with my privet. but I could be wrong there.

I don't know how he started, but I know I did not start this way. Also, if someone has been around on this forum for a longer period, has had advice and still comes up with pruned mallsai, I understand LB's remark.

i would recommend reading more. Then you will realize I do not always leave negative comments. And how I started? With plants from a garden centre. Have a look at one of the plants from my first year into bonsai: www.bonsaiempire.nl/forum/48-help/4723-juniperus-cascade .

And primarely with reading.I must ave spend half a year reading everything I could find about bonsai. Went to all shows in the region. I have only owned one mallsai, and that was mainly to see how far you could take a cheap fig from a mass dealer. After some 2 years I killed it due to overworking.

What I did do, was listen to the adviuce given, and quickly learned the difference between a potted tree and a bonsai. At this point, I still only have some 5 bonsai, and some 50 other potted trees, pre-bonsai so to say.

Hi all.
Can I just add that I appreciate all of the constructive criticism on my progressions.
The privet is actually a yamadori that I collected this summer... Nearly all of my trees are collected material.
I only have 1 "Mallsai" which is the Elm.
Many thanks to Leatherback and Auk for your continued support.
Thanks
PS. I'm actually a musician and songwriter so I'm not doing too bad for a novice!

The privet is not a yamadori, sorry.
