You worked on the trewe while not dormant and/or worked the roots too hard and/or let the plant dry out.

Adding mycchorize do not realy help I think.

I think this is the only reason possible. So i think end of January is not a good time to repot Chines Elm's. I choose this period based on informations i found on internet like the link i posted above. Besides summer what would be the best period to do the repot?

Thanks

The bigger Chinese Elm is showing more growing buds each day, however seems that the new buds are mostly only on the end of the branch.

Hope that new buds appear also trough the branch ..

The small Elm continues to loose leaves, I think only 1/5 of the leaves remains. The pot was changed to a bigger one on this case and almost no roots were prunned. But the biggest problem is that I see no grow.. not even a new bud:

What do you think of this? It is still on time to appear new growth? Thanks for your help

Do you expect results after 2 days?

No not 2 days, sorry I think I didn't explain it well, I have reppoted both the Elms at same day, three weeks ago.

The fact is that the bigger Elm is showing grow and the smaller don't.
I don't properly expect "results", my main concern is to know if it can be considered "normal" the fact that the other Elm don't have any grow like the bigger one.
I am also saying this because they both seem to develop the same behaviour here, like start grow phase at same time. That's why it seems strange to me this "different" behaviour, different clock

My little experience tells me you have dead roots and tree is declining to its death. I really hope that is not the case and you retain it somehow, as I know that sad feeling of seeing your tree dead. Follow experts advises, bring it to bonsai club if you can where they could help. Best luck, my friend.

I meant two days after asking the question.
Seems this tree wasn't cheap. I'd go back to the vendor asking for advice (though, as you have repotted it, they may not give any warranty).

Thank you so much for your sincerity spacewood.
Let's hope that this is not the case and that the Elm will give me a chance to recover it.

I never imagine that the Elms are so sensitive to reppoting. And in fact I was hopping that the buds can still appear.

Don't remember the price but definitely it's one of my favorite bonsais. I never heard of bonsai warranty but I think it almost past two years so that is not an option.
