Guys, you know the recipe. Inside in a windowsill, one week you forget watering, one week 3 times a day gorged with water and you’ll achieve the trend.

I cannot help but wonder why you make fun of my bonsai. I bought it as material for my bonsai school classes.

You teach me to don’t call those as “Bonsai”, and I make fun? :D

Let's call it "pre-bonsai" and he will not be offended!

I think he’s already angry with me for something what I did or did not, so doesn’t matter what I say.
Not fits in the category :) Pre-bonsai is raw material.

Felidae, I am not angry with you.

I am however not joking with this tree. I really did buy it for a class. Fortunately, I have a teacher who realizes the value of time, and recommends that we also keep in mind that you can create bonsai from very simple young material. And that this can over time become very nice trees with very few traces of work done.

Part of the school I am enrolled is that you aim to have a tree in each form discussed, and that you have trees from most of the main families used in Bonsai. As such when we were told which style tree we were working on this weekend, and I realized I di not have one, and did not really want one, I bought a more affordable plant. That does not mean I will not try to create the best tree possible from this, in the style dictated in class. Aim is for the trees formed in these classes to reach maturity at the end of this schooling process, which is in another 6 years (This fall I have my first exam, which is 2 years in). So the first 2-3 years deals with all the forms and species. Then some 3 years on refinement techniques & maintenance. The last 2 years are focussed on teaching the skills to others.

Auk, how about this. I do not post the next steps here and you and I both spend the rest of summer working on our trees and then show what we have done, and the plan for the future?

I know what is this, Jelle. It’s me, who able to buy Mallsais on purpose cause I believe I can turn their development for something good. Its me also who believes that with !proper! techniques you can make thriving just about any tree inside.
I wrote this, cause you sent me a pm which I cannot answer for more than two weeks due to the forum settings (I told to you in the forum), and when I finally did (twice), you don’t even open them. I’m okay with this, just I didn’t know the reason and that could be frustrating sometimes. Not a big deal...
On other hand, I’m a joker. Here, when I saw the funny part from Clicio I couldn’t resist. It’s fine also. I can restrict myself just for serious communication if my jokes are not acceptable for you.
Keep up the good work here and the help what many of us got from you. It doesn’t matter who you are, but matters what you do.

Looks exactly the same as... :)

I was wrong.
They are not joking after all.
It's really a pity my mallsai is a Ficus, I would love to participate in this challenge.
