Is bone meal as a fertiliser any good? How and when do you apply this to a potted tree that is young and in training?
Thanks :)

I normally give my trees blood/bone/nail meal at some point in spring. But oonly when temperatures during night reach about 10 degrees. Then microbial life in the pots will be active. I just sprinkle some on top of the substrate. Do not really think about how much.

not asking how you obtain it, but how you make it ready to apply on your tree : )

I take a handfull and sprinkle it on the substrate. People overthink caretaking too much, in my opinion
