Welcome back :)

I SWEAR I had a dream lat night where I had met Oscar in a Bonsai Exhibit and he told me "Tropfrog is not a troll and he is coming back to the forum".
Believe me, it's true.
Weird, bizarre.
I think I should be scared by now, shouldn't I?
:woohoo:

BTW, welcome back, Tropfrog!

Hello, my name is Alex, 27, from NW Oregon. I am the proud new owner/caretaker of a young Juniper i acquired from a booth at a christmas expo. I have wanted to learn to create bonsai since i was very young. I had no patience so the first sapling i grew from a bonsai kit with seeds died. Then years later i tried again and got 7 maple sprouts, but they did not make it either (girlfriends cats) I already know that the tree i have now is going to be with me for a very long time. I know that this tree will teach me patience and watch me evolve just as I will watch it grow and help it become more beautiful and refined than it is now.

Heya Alex,

Welcome to the empire. Sorry to hear about your earlier losses and wish you better luck this time around. As a little headsup.. That juniper you are showing does need to be outside yearround. That is where you are keeping it, right? Else it might not be around so long :)

Hello Ben (aka:Macguges),

Wecome to the forum and to the world of Bonsai! :cheer: So glad you could join us. *Eustace-hime* is one lovely looking tree and I luv her name! :P

If there is anything "artificial"...such as glued-on pepples, etc. on the surface of your tree's soil it must be removed so that you can properly tell whether your tree needs water and, so you can be sure that when you do water your tree it is getting down to and thoroughly soaking the roots. Every tree is different and has it's own unique needs and requirements in order to grow well and be happy. Therefore the first most important step is to properly identify your tree then research it's origin (climate it originally came from) and it's specific cultivation requirements. If you have any questions, this is the place to ask so just jump right in, ok?. I'm looking forward to watching Eustace-hime's progress! ;)

Thank you so much Leslie for that helpful tips.
Hi my name is Rozalyn and I got a Bonsai Tree for Christmas this year from my nephew. I don't know anything about this so I'm eager to learn. Here is a picture of my tree.

Wellcome Rose. An advise to you would be to take pictures with more neutral background. On nu crappy phone, it locked like it was just a cristmas tree in the picture :)

Welcome to the empire.

Please note that the plant you have bought should be outside, and not in your living room. Inside it will slowly die.
